Important Announcement For Current GCCS Family
Hello GCCS Parents and Guardians!
We hope that you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to seeing you on the first day of school Monday, August 25th at 8 a.m.
Unfortunately, the Phase 2 remediation work at our new school location will not be completed for the opening of school and GCCS will remain in its current location until everything is finished.
We will be in our current location 421 W 145th St. until our new building is ready for us later this year. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
If you attended one of the informational sessions we invited parents and staff to in June, you would have learned that our future home is in the final phase of a remediation project which is being overseen by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
When the remediation is complete the DEC will inspect the work, review test reports, approve an ongoing maintenance program and certify that the school is suitable for GCCS use.
